Another odd celeb baby name...

As reported by the Associate Press, "It's a girl for Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard. The couple welcomed Ramona into the world on Tuesday, Gyllenhaal's representative, Amanda Silverman, said in a statement to The Associated Press. The news was first reported by People magazine."

Ramona? Um, I guess it's better than Apple. I guess. But when I hear Ramona I immediately think of this:

You?

What's with celebrities turning to...well, old people names for their infants? I think Julia Roberts sparked that trend, naming her twins Phineaus and Hazel.

What's next? Esther? Ira? Gertrude? God help us all.

Whatever happened to names like Emily and Peter and John and...and Denise, damn it? Is is THAT uncool to have a normal name? So uncool that hip and trendy celebrities must go out of their way to find the most odd sounding name they can and brand their poor, helpless innocent with a moniker that sounds as though it came from a Dickens novel or a grocery list?

This upsets me.

I'm upset.
