Where for art thou, Cate?

I have a girl crush on Cate Blanchett. I think she's so pretty, so sophisticated, so regal...Elizabethan, really. See?




She's never trashy. She always looks fresh faced and pretty and like she brushed her hair and wore proper undergarments, which is more than I can say for some starlets.

Which is why it made me so sad to see this:



I'd hoped that perhaps this was a costume for Star Trek XXXIII: Attack of the Sequin Clones. But alas, it is not. She wore this to a movie premiere last Wednesday. I mean, I guess I should applaud her boldness. I should be grateful that although it's a mini-dress, I can't say any of her lady bits. She's still classy...in a sassy Carol Brady kind of way, I guess. I just...I just don't know.

I hope you wore sunblock, Cate. Those sequins are shining mighty bright.
